Michael Hillman, MD is a Board-certified Clinical Neurologist – licensed since 1987 – who has also had a distinguished career as a Healthcare Leader and Physician Executive focused on advancing healthcare to the next level with respect to building sustainable, patient-centered value while translating that value into financial stability for healthcare organizations. From 1999 through 2006, while also maintaining his Clinical Practice, he held several Medical Director positions at the Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield WI -- an integrated delivery system comprised of a 750-physician multi-specialty group practice in over 50 locations, a 200,000-member health plan, and hospital partners with annual revenue at that time of $1.1 Billion. From 2006 through 2008, Dr. Hillman was Vice President, Patient Safety, Clinical Excellence Team (Corporate) at
Ascension Health, St. Louis, MO, the nation’s largest non-profit and faith-based healthcare organization comprised of >155,000 associates in 1,900 locations, located in 23 states with approximately $17 Billion in 2013 annual operating revenue. From 2009 through 2012, he served as System Vice President, Chief Medical and Quality Officer at Summa Health System, Akron, OH, an integrated delivery system comprised of 7 hospitals, 300 employed physicians, and $1.7 Billion in annual provider revenue; and the SummaCare Health Plan with >240,000 total members. Dr. Hillman was then then Senior Vice President for Medical Operations and Accountable Care at Aurora Health Care, Milwaukee, WI, an integrated delivery system comprised of 15 hospitals, 1600 employed physicians, and many other healthcare business units with $4 Billion in annual revenue. Over the past two years, prior to joining PRS, Dr. Hillman has been serving as a Medical Consultant to a variety of health management and healthcare organizations.
